Translation Project
The International School of Krakow continues to support our Ukrainian friends, neighbors, and guests in new and interesting ways. Students saw a need for Ukrainian kids joining mid-year and mid-class in schools across Poland. Students collaborated across grades 4, 9, and 10 to create some basic phrases in Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and English to facilitate communication when students and/or teachers don’t have a shared language.
The documents are sorted by conversation participants (such as student to teacher) with topics ISK’s students thought would be most useful in a classroom. We’ve put together 2 sizes on Google Docs for easier printing and sharing:
- A4 Version (standard paper size)
- A3 Version (large)
This was a HUGE project which took many hours of work. Thank you to our students for all their hard work as well as the following teachers: Ms. Lori, Ms. Lasota, Mr. Radek, and Ms. Kessel. Special thanks to Mr. Dave Kuszka, who spearheaded this incredible effort!
